Having started life as a classical singer, Naomi went on to study acting at Central School of Speech of Drama. Following graduation, Naomi’s first professional job was playing Lauren in the new musical, Austentatious (currently playing at the Julia Miles Theater, New York). She was then cast in one and a half seasons with the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch (Cinderella, Macbeth, Olivia Twist, Room at the Top and Up on the Roof). Naomi has a real passion for performing new works and was asked to perform in the Goldsmith’s New Writing Showcase (2006) in which she played the title role of Frida Kahlo in Ivo Mosley’s play Frida. She also originated the roles of Mary and Lady English in Vicki Miller’s Musical Monopoly (currently playing in Sydney).
Having worked with Phil Clark at the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff last year in the critically acclaimed Stories of Hans Christian Andersen, Naomi will be working with him again this Christmas, playing Dick Whittington at Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre. She is currently involved in the Perfect Pitch Festival for New Musical Theatre at Upstairs at the Gatehouse in which she will be playing Felicity in the two woman Musical Comedy, Two’s A Crowd.
Naomi is an accomplished musician and singer, playing trombone, piano and trumpet and has worked as and actor-musician with several companies. She is also an experienced Vocal Coach working free lance with various Performing Arts Companies and Individuals. CV
